Alumni Hall of Fame
Laurel County Public Schools is accepting nominations for the Laurel County
Schools Alumni Hall of Fame. The Laurel County Schools Alumni Hall of Fame
recognizes, celebrates, and honors alumni who have distinguished themselves
through public service, academic achievement, and professional ontributions,
thereby enhancing the prestige and excellence of Laurel County Public Schools.
Selected honorees into the Laurel County Schools ALumni Hall of Fame will be featured in a
publication on the district website and Facebook page. A poster with a photo and brief biography
will proudly be displayed in the halls of The G.C. Garland Administration building. All honorees will
be recognized during a Laurel County Board of Education meeting.
To be considered for induction into the Alumni Hall of Fame, the nominee must
have graduated from a current or former LAurel County High School (Bush,
Hazel Green, Lily, London, Laurel County, North Laurel, or South Laurel) at
least 10 years before the nomination and meet the following criteria:
1. Be an exemplary role model for others exhibiting a high degree of character
and integrity.
2. Be able to be identified as an outstanding member of his/her profession.
3. Have provided a meaningful contribution to the service of others in support
of public education, student literacy, student well-being, or in his or her
chosen field and professional leadership.
4. Continue to emphasize and demonstrate life-long lerning through outstanding
contributions in their field of employment with impact of their industry or
community.
